A teen girl conference on violence against women.
The Ottawa Girl Conference will be held on December 5th - one day before the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day coincides with the sad anniversary of the death of 14 women who were tragically killed on December 6, 1989 at l'École Polytechnique in Montreal.

Beyond commemorating the loss of these fourteen young lives, this day represents a time to pause and reflect on the phenomenon of violence against women in our society.

Keynote speakers include Kirstin Neilson and Doreen Drummond, a daughter and a mother that have both been affected differantly by domestic violence

Conference includes a memorial tribute to the 14 women that were murdered in 1989. Register Now for Girl Conference 2007 Click Here
